Breed profile: Dominant copper.

Our local feed store, Viking feed, had gotten these chicks from a hatchery in Oregon, they are called dominant coppers. They are a mix between a black copper Maran and a barred rock.

are they sexed pullets anything bred to barred is sex linked they look like australorps

yes, they are color sexed. I will post pictures when they get more feathers.

Did you get them from Jenks Hatchery? I recently got dominant coppers from them and the chicks looked like these

They all turned out to be girls! And yes we did, well, our feed store got them from Jenks, and we bought from the feed store!

I'm pretty sure it's a black copper maran and a cuckoo maran mix they use there's no barred rocks in it

The hatchery site says they are a black copper marans/barred rock cross. Midnight majesty marans are black copper marans/cuckoo marans cross.

i’m pretty 100% sure they use plymouth barred rocks...because i ended up with one.
