Could be an Ancona, I think they are on the bigger side. Khakis aren't huge though, from from what I've read, and I know from experience that just a difference of a pound on a duck makes them look SO much bigger, lol.

Magpies and anconas looks very similar even when they are young, I'll keep uploading pictures to see what breed can be that mystery duck.

LoveOfChicken, I am pretty sure you have a magpie. Anconas have random splotches of black while magpies have a distinct black blotch on their back and top of their head.

Yeah, it's a Magpie. I don't own one, or an Ancona, but I'm positive that the mystery duckling is a Magpie. Magpies have a cap on their heads and back. Ancona ducks have random blotches of color.

Awww! Your yard looks a lot like mine!
This makes me sad that I won't be having any waddle waddle in it!
Chicken math evolved. I originally placed an order for ducks and geese to be delivered in May, got chickens while I waited, then started hatching chickens...yeah, had to cancel my duck order, my husband says he only wants chickens!
Maybe I can sneak some eggs into the incubator, "how did THOSE little billed things get in there? MUST be a miracle!" Hahahaha
