Breed question

I took this rooster and hen in from a family member who couldn’t take care of them anymore. Does anyone have an idea of what breeds they could be?

I would say that your hen is a Black Australorp. Black Australorps are good breeds and they'll lay good and lots of eggs for you. Your rooster looks like an Easter Egger Golden Sex Link mix.

Check under the back one's feet. It it's a whitish pink than its an Australorp. If its a yellow-ish color than it's a Jersey Giant. The other one i agree is a Easter egger.

It has to be a Black Australorp. It looks exactly like mine.

The cockerel is a EE, and the hen is either a Black Australorp or Black Java. Not large enough for a BJG.

You guys are awesome! Thanks for the info. I was told that they were a Rhode Island Red Cross and Black Maran when I got them, but after a quick search, I didn’t think that was right.

Her feet were yellowish. Definitely not whiteish pink.
