Breed question.

What breed of chicken is black? I know that breeds sometimes come in different colors.A friend of mine told me about some large black chickens he seen at a swap,but didn't ask what breed they were.Thank you in advance for your reply.Take care.

Well... the fact that he said they were large AND black, leads me to think they were Jersey Giants. Other large black breeds are Australorps and Langshans.
