How well does your Swedish lay?My Campbell hen has this perfect nest she built to lay her eggs in, She has been giving me an egg a day so far... I have rouen, cayuga, blue swidish, campbell and a mixed breed of rouen and cayuga cross hens but I have to say my campbell is the only hen out of the 18 who lays an egg a day all year long. She is just a little cuddle bug too!
+Hello!
I am considering getting a KC, and would like some reviews one them!
Do they lay as good as everyone says?
Metzer lists them as "Nervous". Are they?
Do they do well in a mixed flock?
Please post pictures!
Any other information is appreciated!

Ive got two or maybe three still laying from last June, one went into a molt just last week
) and I do have one hen that allows me to pick her up without chasing. That said, the other dont really like me touching them.Just btw, I got three eggs this morning. So yeah, only one molting so far+
Just one?

Nervous.....well, yeah. They arent wonderful PET ducks. They WILL know their keeper, and trust him to an extent (as always, the feed factor) and I do have one hen that allows me to pick her up without chasing. That said, the other dont really like me touching them.
They do well in my mixed flock.....just a little snag with my big saxony drakes, who tried to mate them....being more than twice as heavy, that didnt go so well. But with my other hens, theyre just fine.
So, Id totally recommend them if you want eggs
Hope it helps!
