Breed recommendations?

I had been leaning toward Americaunas and Leghorns, but what breeds are best suited to Central Texas?

I Would go with the AmerAUcana over the Leghorn. I have Leghorns and Ameraucana chicks. The Leghorns flip out whenever I go to feed them. They hate being near me. Ameraucanas are much calmer and don't act like complete and total morons.

I have Both, and the Ameraucana's were friendlier chicks and I had one the would eat right out of my hand and would run right up to me every time I would open the gate, the leghorns would freak out and run the other way and try to peck my hand all the time. But you can't beat the eggs the leghorns lay, I had one that would give me huge eggs and at least 2 double yolks a week.
