I recently found some old pictures of some of my old flock. This is Rodney, he passed away a few years ago. I've always wondered what breed(s) he was. He was bought at a farm swap/sale as a little black chick. He wasn't quite as big as the standard chickens, but wasn't the size of a Bantam either. I just sharpend the photo a with the editor to remove some of the blurryness. No color changes has been made.
This is his son and the two black hens are his daughters. I just wanted to show what his offspring looked like. The mother was probably a Australorp. All of these chickens have passed too.
Some of his grandchildren looked a lot like black copper marans.
