S/he is 6 months old and was picked out by my daughter as a 'different chick' mixed in with the last couple Wyandotte pullets at TSC. No crowing or laying so far. The wattles are larger than I'm used to but have no idea of the breed to even hazard a guess if it's a hen or roo. Any info would be helpful...

Boy oh BOY! See where I've drawn the arrow... those are long, pointy and shiny saddle feathers. Those are indicative and a giveaway that you have a male. He is so beautiful, I hope you'll be able to keep him :love

Ironically when he was still a chick, my daughter named him Isaac. Since he was 'supposed' to be a pullet, I told her that was an awfully masculine name for a girl.... She insisted. There is just no way I could get rid of this large hearted little girl's friend. He's here to stay
