Hi, I have 2 baby chicks that I acquired the day before Easter. I have no clue what breed they are. These are the first chicks we have ever had and just starting out with. Didn't know if any one could tell me what breed they were and what kind of eggs they will lay. Here are 2 pictures of each of them. Thanks
.

Would vote the first is a Silkie (does it have 5 toes / foot?) if it is a girl, Silkies usually lay tan eggs.
Next one, maybe and Easter Egger, if a girl, she hopefully will lay green eggs.

And Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC!

I agree.

Thanks for the Welcome! And for the Information. The first one has 5 toes and the second one has only 4 toes? Does that tell the sex of the chicken?

No, number of toes has nothing to do with their gender, it does help guess their breed. Silkies usually have five toes, so that is a good clue that it is a Silkie. EEs should have four toes. They are too young to tell gender on yet, you might try taking pictures of them again when they are 5-6 weeks old and see if there are any guesses. Silkies are often really hard to sex and it might be four or five+ months old before you know for sure.
