Both--the more the merrier! Only thing I would consider would be how you feel about fluffy poopy feet...my friend has cochins and they track mud everywhere XD

Both are great breeds. I stay away from feathered feet other than silkies but that's personal preference. We love our lavender orpingtons but cochin are awesome as well.

Violet here has a strong opinion but she's obviously biased.

Cochins broody a lot so don't expect many eggs. It is very good mother. I personally don't like feather feet breed. If you live in warm climate, it is ok.

In my opinion feathered feet are amazing! My lavender Orpingtons are the least friendly chickens I’ve ever had and kinda dumb. My buff orp is totally the opposite. Cochins are so cuddly and really sweet, the feathered feet are so cute.
