wondering what this hen might be. She's a barnyard mix of some sort. She's interesting with her Mohawk, yellow back feathers and more red breast.

She has the coloring of a Light Brown Leghorn. I have no idea about the mohawk though.

Could be Cream Legbar mix, although in my (admittedly limited) experience with them they have much smaller crests. I'm wondering if a Polish ancestor is in the woodpile.

It does look to be a Cream Legbar, maybe Cream Legbar mix.

Do you have pics of when she was a day old? Is she from your own flock or someone elses?

Cream Legbar should have small to medium crests, males are to have small crests and females to have medium crests. But the crests on all CL can range quite a bit from quite large and full to a tiny tuft of feathers behind the comb.

The pullet above has what I personally would consider small for a female CL.

I have some barnyard mixes with silkie in their background that have mohawk crests a lot like my Legbars. There are a number of crested breeds, any of them could have been involved in the mix.

I noticed on one of the other threads the OP started that the seller of the eggs did have pure CL and CL mixes.

Never heard of a Cream Legbar before. Beautiful breed and I love the mohawk!
