Was told this was a Speckled Sussex but obviously not. Wondering what breed she is.

No. Female Wheatens can have just a hint of black or even none at all. That's part of the reason it can be so difficult to tell, based on photos, if a hen is Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, or Splash Wheaten.
