Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is a roo, yes?
I originally thought it was a buff orpington but they dont have the small combs, right? He was a part of a heavy breed assortment.

I hope you are referring to Buff Orpington because his body type, comb, and leg color are spot on for a Buff Chantecler.

I definitely agree with @sourland. He's a handsome Buff Chantecler cockerel. Ideal poultry sells them, so it makes perfect sense. Congrats on a beautiful young boy!

Yes he is a buff chantecler. Ideal does offer that breed and no ideal doesn’t typically get cross bred chicks.
