Hello 😊

What breed of chicken is the whitish one and the black one?

I have a chicken laying a white egg and it is always broken because of a fragile shell, so trying to see if figuring out the breed will help me determine who is laying the white one.

Black one looks like an Australorp. She should lay pinkish, light brown eggs.
The other one looks like a blue leghorn (which would lay white eggs) or a blue Plymouth rock (which would lay tan eggs).

Tip: ear lobes help identify egg-color. For example, white-lobed chickens lay white eggs and pink-lobed chickens lay brown eggs.
Hope this helps. :)

Thanks so much! I was thinking the black one was Australorp! Thanks! had no idea about the whitish one. Someone thought the one you’re saying is blue leghorn was a sapphire gem (which lays brown) so I wasn’t sure. And her earlobe isn’t very pronounced like I see on white earlobed chickens. But I think you’re right. Thanks!
