i see atleast one drake (the biggest khaki) so by any chance will you be able to have two seperate pens to seperate the boys and girls just in case needed?Sorry for the bad pic it’s just hard to get too close but thank you so much !!!!!
I have another coop and run that is vacant and it’s my old chicken one, is there a reason I would need to seperate them ?i see atleast one drake (the biggest khaki) so by any chance will you be able to have two seperate pens to seperate the boys and girls just in case needed?
if you have more drakes then hens and they aren’t seperated, the drakes will hurt the girls and each other. most people say 5 hens per every drake but it all depends on their personalities and i know people who’s ducks are fine with 1 drake to 1 henI have another coop and run that is vacant and it’s my old chicken one, is there a reason I would need to seperate them ?
Male ducks require a pretty hefty sex ratio, about 3-4 females per one male duck. If you have too many males and not enough females, they WILL over mate and injure your females. The females won’t be too happy either.I have another coop and run that is vacant and it’s my old chicken one, is there a reason I would need to seperate them ?
