Hello, got this one in Jordan, from a farmers markte. about three and a half months old, probably a female, there’s a picture of its cockerel fiend for comparison. Very skittish, and unfriendly towards me. Took ages to take a reasonable picture. Male is supposedly a Fayoumi.

Wow! What beautiful birds. Ignore the misinformation posted by people who think they’re experts. Any small bit of research would have told them that there are two varieties of Fayoumis-gold and silver, the former is just not found or at least not readily found in the US. If they were sold as Fayoumi, I have no doubt they’re Fayoumis because they match breed characteristics. On another note-Campine males are hen-feathered and yours isn’t which further proves he’s a Fayoumi. Additionally, Hamburgs have rose combs and your birds have single combs. :)

Oh ok, so since they were not sold in America, they are Fayoumi?
