Those look exactly like my pekin did as a baby!

Pekins are like puppy dogs. And mine are loud. They can be heard across the property.

They are so fun. My three each have a very different personality. I've got a prissy girl who must preen 23 hours a day, one who's a bit more shy and one who'd rather hang around with the runner ducks.

Hi. I agree, they do look like Pekins

I got my 3 " assorted ducklings " from TSC 1 year ago yesterday.

2 turned out to be Rouen girls, and the other is a Pekin girl. They were bought along with 3 Barred Rock girls. I lost one chick, unfortunately, but the 5 babies brooded together, and are a very " closed flock"..they love each other so much.

My 3 ducks lay consistently 3 eggs Everyday, and Ive noticed that I get ALOT of requests for their eggs .

Anyway, I found out the hard way, that Pekins need extra Niacin for their leg growth.

So, I was adding Niacin in powder form , to all of their drinking water so I made sure that the Pekin got the Niacin.

All went perfect with brooding and they are all just wonderful beginner ducks!!e

And friendly?, Oh my Gosh, are they...

The Pekin especially!

Make sure you give them LOTS of hugs and interaction and you should have a Great friend and reliable layer , for life..

Be prepared for allot of holes in your yard mine love poking hole to get grubs and mine are Loud I was hoping to get a pair but got two girls instead. I recently got another from tractor supplies hoping this ones a boy. The eggs are delicious though I prefer them over chicken eggs.
