What breed of duck gets a pouffy spot on the head of the female?
Someone gave me 8 ducks and one has a pouffy spot on its head.
I was told that it is a female. The picture is of the mom, dad, and one baby.

There's a breed of duck actually called the "Crested" breed, but the crested trait can occur in just about any variety of duck. I had a magpie female that was crested, but she had some genetic issues and didn't make it to adulthood. Right now I have several crested Rouens - male and female - and a couple of crested Pekin girls. The Pekins are especially adorable when they've been noodling in the mud and get the "got chocolate milk?" look going!
