Breed?

I helped a good buddy build his coop a few years back and for my help he gave me a hen that he kept until I moved I to a place where I could have my own flock. That time has come and he let me take her home. He says she's a "mutt". Can anyone tell me what breed or maybe mix she might be? Thanks.

Looks like a buff Orpington mix to me!

That is what I'm going with for now. I have a pair of BOs. The one pictured (Tikvah) is at least 2-1/2 - 3 years old. She has small wattles and a funky little pinkish comb. Obviously has the longer straight tail feathers and her body feathers are harder than those of my BOs. She's also much more petite in size compared to my 5 m/o big ol fat BOs.

Is it possible she bantam crossed? Would explain the tail as well.

I guess it would be possible, but I have no way of knowing for sure. I got her from a friend and he got her from his dad that raises all different kinds. I am not that familiar with bantam full size crosses, so I don't know what are the common traits. She looks to me like a "runt" maybe, but I guess a bantam cross could also be possible.
