Josephine was sold as an easter egger / ameracuna. She lays brown eggs, she has almost no comb and beautiful colored feathers and markings. What on earth is she? She has no tufts or comb like my other chickens.

Agree pics would help, as well as what hatchery the bird came from. Some EE do lay brown eggs. It's not too common, but possible.

Some EEs also are completely cleanfaced (no muff, beard). If you have no pictures, do you have a better description of her markings?

Do you have other EEs? If so -- are her markings similar? Does she have a very flat/small pea comb?
