breed?

I've got what I think it's a hen (a rooster tried to get her but she chased him away) but I have no idea about the breed. She is mostly black with orange red but has green in the tailfeathers.
She thinks she's in charge (only one of that breed). I can't upload a picture until morning.
I don't know if it's her or not so this might not be relevant but we have some eggs that are brown but when they're dry they have itty bitty white spots everywhere (can't see them when the egg is wet)

From your description I take it the bird front and center is the bird in question? If so, that is a cockerel.
