If you are anywhere near Medowie (Port Stephens, Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie) in NSW I can highly recommend JD's Backyard Hens. Great selection of chook and duck breeds, turkeys too. Excellent service. So friendly. She also offers classes and rooster surrender service. And as an extra bonus, I get to support a local small business. Couldn't ask for more! Can't wait for spring so I can get a few more chicks to raise!

If anyone in Australia has had success with buying shipped eggs from breeders I'd love to get some more information. Am wanting to but some rarer breeds to hatch but variety seems to be a but limited in Tasmania.
