I purchased a few silver Ameraucanas from a very reputable breeder recently. A friend picked them up for me (she got some for herself as well). She thought they looked small for what the breeder said their age was, but there were varying ages in the pen, so she thought maybe he was just a bit confused on which ones were what age.
The breeder indicated in passing that you could breed a silver ameraucana bantam pullet back to a standard sized roo and the offspring would be standard sized.
Is this true? I've been looking on the Web and cannot find info. on this. I'm wondering if that is what I've got here; a bantam/full sized cross, because they still seem awfully small for the ages they are supposed to be. Thanks for your feedback!
(edited because I found a typo!)
