Hello, I was wondering if I decided to breed a rooster with frostbite will it effect the genetics. It is only on his back 2 points. He is a poreclian d uccle(sorry about spelling).

Not exactly. While the frostbite is new & the comb is black it is quite painful & often the male will not be interested in breeding. Once it has healed & the damaged part of the comb has fallen off he'll be back in business.

I did ask the vet on this one, she said should not affect breeding in any way. Only if rooster had a viral or bactrial infection, very poor nutrition, parasite overload ect... could affect fertility. I think she said fowl pox is one of the culprits she said it also can cause problems in the comb depending on severity.
