I do not have a rooster. If I wanted to try to let one of my hens have chicks can I take her to a friends house that has a roo and put them together?? If so how long would you think?? Do hens have a certian breeding time??

I am so very new at this. After seeing my friends hen with babies it was so wonderful to watch.

You could try that, BUT it would work better if the roo came to you. I say that because hens will stop laying when they are moved around - they don't like change. So if you take her there, she may not even lay until the cycle is gone and it was a wasted trip....
