I have several breeds that I am going to selling this yr and next. I have just now got them laying and separated into their own separate pens....How long do I have to wait to make sure that the eggs will be purebred....I don't want to have anymore mutts! Thanks!

Well.. I read somewhere that a hen was said to have fertile eggs for 12 weeks after being fertilized and removed from her rooster. The study, as I recall, theorized that it was because she was NOT mated by a new rooster during that time, as they put her in isolation just FOR this test.
