Breeding and Raising and Hatching of Barnyard Chickens!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, guys. As much as I really didn't think I wanted her hatching more, these guys are melting me! I hust hope she's done for the year! Lol

I have to show off my absolute favorite little mix pullet I have had hatch this year. She's from my standard white naked neck and my buff laced polish roo. In fact, she's one of the puffballs in my avatar. She has a feathered neck, gorgeous slate legs, just enough crest to make her look like a princess, and the most gorgeous cream, buff/peach, and grey coloring. I think she will be a stunning hen! I am glad most of hers were girls because all of my bantam's were boys! I guess it evens out in the end! Lol Oh, and please ignore the duck feathers on my AC unit. My two young pekins groom there! Lol

She is beautiful!!!! And I wouldn't have even noticed the feathers if you hadn't said anything!

I have 20 some eggs in the incubator and just had a mama hatch out three. She lost two but then took, and i mean took from their brooder, 5 three week old chicks so now she has 6 babies.

Thank you. this is her first brood so we will see how good of mom she is. She also hid under our deck. I didnt really want her to hatch any. lol Chickens seem to like to hatch under decks!

Decks are usually pretty dark and hidden underneath so they feel safe. Congrats!

Ours was fenced off. We could see her but not get to her. I have pics on my laptop i will post some later. It was so cute.
