I'm interested in starting Basque Hen bantams this spring. I'm not very sharp about genetics and need guidance the best possible way to do it. I have one Basque Hen I intend to use in the project, and hope to purchase a couple more. But I need to know which color and breed of bantam(s) that should be use. My thoughts are to either use New Hampshires or make Rockshires (barred Rock x New Hampshires for F1).
