Blue Ameraucana. Isn't this the topic? Isn't it impossible to have leakage in any of the combinations Blue, Black, or Splash? I assume this was what was meant by the poster who stated Blue X Blue does not breed true?

No, blue x blue breeds black, and blue and maybe splash?. Its a dilute form of black.

My point is no matter what the combination of Blue Ameraucana you will always end up with either a Blue, a Black, or a Splash without leakage.

There point was that blue doesn't breed true.
Meaning a blue breed with a blue does not produce all blue offspring.

Their is no leakage except for splash. That can be mottled with blue.

The blue gene is a black diluter that stacks. One copy of gene expresses blue color. Two copies expresses splash. No copies is full black. Using Punnett's Square and two birds B,b and B,B you can see half offspring would express blue (Bb) and half splash (BB). Blue bred to blue (Bb to Bb) would result in 25% bb which is black.
