Breeding bobwhites

I have 8 quail all together I have 5 hens and 3 males 2 are bob whites one is a conturnix I have left from a colony wiped out by a cat he is the only one breeding my bobwhite hens should I take him out? is he dominant over the bobwhites?

He might just be the dominant male. If you want pure Bobwhites, your best bet is to keep the bowhites in pairs of a large pen, and separate the Coturnix. I'd try to find him a girlfriend of his own kind.

New world quail (Bobwhites) may attempt to breed with Old world quail (Coturnix) and vice-versa but will not produce viable offspring.
Best to separate them, if possible.
