Breeding Buff Leghorns

Hi I was just wondering if ayone knows where to find or has any info on brown leghorns? I thought I purchased an EE but it's legs are too yellow and the chicken breeds pages don't have any pics or very much info on brown leghorns. Thanks:)

For those of you asking,I have added a few new pictures of my 2011,current Buff Leghorn

Hi Gary,Thanks again for those German Buff pictures. They are great to see.

I do not keep a very big flock and these days I am pretty well sold out in advance with both young trios in the fall and hatching eggs in the spring.I like to raise plenty to pick my replacements from too.So I sell a few birds and eggs, but a very limited amount. Not to be selfish, but I have only so much pen space.I always regret selling down to close, that can get you in trouble. I have a few customers that ask for a cockerel,to improve or grade-up their flock (every other year). It works pretty good for them and I often have extra males late in the fall,as I keep some extra ones as spares anyway. I've got eggs available now. My birds come from Dan. I kept three from last year's hatch to add to my flock. I'm setting some eggs this weekend to check fertility.

Leghorns have yellow leggs, this is not wrong. Do you mean Light Brown or the Dark Brown.
Take a look at the site www.leghorn.nl Dark Brown http://www.leghorn.nl/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5&Itemid=139
and
the Light Brown http://www.leghorn.nl/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2&Itemid=136
These
are in Dutch type but the color is the same.
If you are in the States you should contact Don Schrider, Warrenton, Virginia.
He is breeder of the LB and DB Large Fowl Leghorns.

Greetings Arie

Sorry Ann I was forgotten you. You have also great birds from Dan Honour.
My hatch was going wrong at the last moment. The temperature of the hatchers was a few hours to high and the half of the eggs are not hatched. The chicks that are hatched look verry wel. Greetings Arie
