Breeding Buff Leghorns

Broody leghorn is almost an oxymoron.

Anybody else know how often these buffs will go broody compared with other leghorns?

My American Type Buff Leghorn Bantams are quickly broody. When i not pickup the eggs everyday they are in a few days broody. I have about 50% of my hens broody this year and have to seperate them from the eggs to get them back to laying.
Now I have 2 F1 hens that are broody and tomorrow the eggs will be hatching. They have together 23 eggs. In the incubator I have about 16 eggs.
When all are hatched I put the chicks together unther the broodies and an extra Heat lamp.

Hi Dan, those hens looks very nice.

Today was hatching day in Goirle (The Netherlands) and I have some pictures I want to share with you all.
These F1 broody hens have F2 chicks That come from Pure Buff Leghorn Bantam male x F1 Buff hens from the cross between Buff Leghorn Bantam male x Buff Dutch Bantam hens.

Greetings Arie
