quail are meat birds and we're pretty flexible group on this thread, most questions are welcome, aw heck we even laugh at the "how can you eat your precious animals?"

To the OP I don't have an answer to your question, but a quick call to the California Ag Extension office in your area should help you out. If you can't find the answer get back to us and we will try to help further

I was told that in NM you have to have a permit and premise inspections for all quail. I'd love to have some but I don't want to deal with people coming onto my property when ever they want to inspect.
