How should I get my male and female runners to mate

How should I get my male and female runners to mate

they will mate when they are ready to mate .. how old are they ??

Male about 1 year female is 1.5 years

they should already be mating then mine started when they were 1 year old but different kind of duck but it should be the same ... how do you know they are not mating ?? you just don't see it or you checked the eggs ?

Well I've been checking the eggs and I haven't noticed any that look fertilized my old ducks (they were Saxonys) and they bred all the time I just sold most of their ducklings
