BREEDING FOR PRODUCTION...EGGS AND OR MEAT.

I don't think I've yet posted on this thread but thought I would say that I really enjoy reading through it.

Is it just me or are more and more people talking about cuy lately? It was being discussed on another thread here on BYC too. It makes me wonder how many people actually raise them for meat outside of South America...

For people who don't know what cuy is:

Fat rats basically. Chickens are much more appealing!

Yeah....a 5-6 pound Guinea Pig XD

I'll take my little guy. He's cute, easy to care for, and he knows a couple of tricks XD (my fiance wanted one, so I figured I may as well have fun with him)

Welcome heritage! ! Collie the only rule ive heard so far is if you name them you can't eat them

Capybara actually look like a neat pet. People say they are kind of like dogs and pigs combined. Not sure I would want one, but... to each their own! Capybara are raised for meat too in some places.

Does anyone here have a black meat breeding project going on? You know the birds with black skin/flesh. I've never talked to anyone who's actually eaten black chicken meat... I wonder if it tastes different? Anyone know?

Welcome heritage! !
