Breeding from hatchery stock

I don't care what they look like really, as long as they are good tempered, dual purpose birds that have a tendency to go broody. We intend to eat all the excess roos and any hens that are mean/flighty/etc or are old. I actually have three of our leghorn cross hens on that list because they don't like to flock with the rest of the hens and the main rooster.

You almost need to keep two breeding lines going as hens that go broody don't usually produce many eggs as they are constantly going broody.
