Hi everyone,
At the moment im breeding a pair of indian ringnecks and it isnt going to well. 4 eggs were layed and 2 were fertile becuase i have candled them. On Friday lest week one of the eggs had a hole in it and i thought it had started to hatch. Anyways saturday it got slightly bigger and then sunday it got slightly bigger again. The chick was alive on the weekend, and i check it today and was found to be dead. Im thinking now has the mother accidentally poked a hole in it or maybe something went wrong with the actual chick itself. The other egg on the other hand hasn't hatched yet and im still leaving it in there to see if it will eventually hatch. The two infertile eggs i chucked out as well as they may start to rote. I dont know what to do, ive been trying to breed them for the past three years and always come out with a bad ending, last year the eggs didnt get fertilised and the year before it was the same situation that i had this year but the chick itself hatch but we had one 47 celsius degree day and i think thats what killed it. Am i doing something wrong or is it the parenting, or it it just life itself.
Kind regards,
Frostyricho
