Breeding Pens

I don't have any pics on the 'puter yet... but I got those metal carports... I divided them into 4 coops in each (I call them "the quads"). Each one will have (I'm not done with construction completely) a run attached to it, and everyone will be seperated.

I love it so far, and I haven't added all the bells and whistles!

Thank you! I brainstormed and priced things, and brainstormed and priced things.... I hate building the roof to coops so those carports are great. I just built a floor and walls. (then doors and all... but you know)

You should see my nest boxes in them, I think they are cute. I added a curve to the front to just make it look better. Took 3" crepe myrtle branches as perches... going to make PVC feeders. The walls that divide each coop are only 4 foot tall... the rest is chicken wire. Windows along one wall and the opposite has the "human doors" which are just screened (I live in the hot, hot south). In the winter I can pop in boards to keep the draft down and just use wing nuts to hold them in place until spring.

My chickens are my life... and it shows. lol.

I do, but not loaded up in the computer just yet. Give me a day or two. I'll post them.

BTW the company I bought them from was VERY impressive. They came and installed three in about a hour. I told them I'm picky about things being straight and even and they LAID in the WET grass to look and make sure it was all lined up! I was very impressed with them. Carolina Carports is their name.
