If I breed my STD White Cochin with my Barred rock hen will I get barred cochin chicks?

Quite possibly you could get black barred male offspring & black female offspring. The genes carried by recessive white birds are not predictable. If you use the offspring for breeding the offspring could easily get a mess.

Yeah- wouldn't do it. You'll get crappy leg feathering too, and it will take forever to get anything resembling the cochin standard.

Tried it and you get a chick with very little feathering on the legs.It's awful looking honestly! Don't attempt unless you just want an ugly pet
