Breeding RIR question

I appreciate the offer of the RIR rooster, but that would be going a different direction from my plans. I looked up Gastonia and you are probably a tad over 4 hours from me, maybe a bit far for you to come? Right now, I have only 2 BR girls laying, new layer and a 4 yr old (the pullet's mother, actually) who lays maybe 3 eggs a week now, so can't collect enough eggs to ship at the moment.

roosters are in general quite easy to come by mostly a matter of patience.

Yes your right I need to be patiant... something I have very little of. I want a Barred Rock so let me wait and one will show up... Thanks for all the ideas

I would suggest a barred rock also - or - if you want something a bit different - a light sussex.
