breeding silky chickens

The one year old ladies are definitely ready for breeding, the younger girls still have a ways to go.

I think OP means that they're 14 months old, not some 12 month olds, and some 2 month olds

yea! but now how do I breed the silky rooster specifically with the silky hens if I have a bunch of other chickens around?

I have the same problem, but still manage to hatch pure Silkies despite a mixed flock. But if you got a separate small coop, you can put a pair, or trio into it for pure breeding.

If you want to breed them pure, you'll have to separate them. Or make sure the silkie cockerel is the only male you have
