Recently, I hatched a bunch of eggs from a paint showgirl rooster breed to a white frizzle hen. Now, most of the chicks came out as paints, whites and a few blacks. They are 1 weeks old now, from what I can see I have a smooth chick, 1 sizzle or maybe a frizzle not sure, but most of the chicks are regular silkies or showgirls.

What is the best pairig to produce frizzles, not sizzles?

Is this chick a frizzle or a sizzle?
Thanks! ☺

No, sizzle has silky feathers that are curly, frizzles have normal chicken feathers that are curly. I am thinking this chick is a frizzle. As the feathers aren' silky.

If you want to produced frizzles and not sizzles you need to quit breeding silkies into your mix.

Thank you Moonshiner, thankfully this chick has developed regular feathers, so it is a frizzle!!! Yay!
