Breeding two mutations.

I hatched about 100 ducklings this year. Muscovies and welsh harlequins and some call duck khaki crosses. Well i had two weird color mutations and i am hoping if they are a pair to breed them. I wasnt sure how they would come out.

Are they a WH mutation? Interesting. If they aren't a pair maybe you can figure out one of the parents and breed back.

The pictures are a bit blurry, so it is hard to see what is going on with the feathers. Do you have a pair? Breed them together and see what happens... pretty!

They are either welsh harelquin cross or a butterscotch call duck. I only had two males. A beautiful welsh harlequin and that call duck. So weird

Ya. I have a muscovy pair but they are away from the other ducks. Even when they were together the male muscovy never had any interest in the khaki females at all. He was all about his girlfriend. She is laying on eggs now. Cant wait for them to hatch. They have such great personalities.

Wait, I’m confused. So the ducks are crosses? Wouldn’t it just be a result of mixing the genes for two different feather patterns/different colors? Is that considered a mutation? Forgive my ignorance. I’m very curious to know the difference.

I just said mutation. Not even sure the actual name or what it would be. I had khaki females and two drakes. A welsh harlequin male. Which is basically a khaki champbell as well. And a butter scotch call duck. I hatched a ton of eggs this summer and only two came out like that. Whatever they are im just curious what their offspring would look like.
