Fred's Hens X2. Thousands of babies are hatched and shipped out daily and the chances that you have two that are related would be rare.
Great to have you aboard and welcome to our flock!
Since hatcheries mass produce chicks by the 100's and 1000's, the chances of your chicks being that closely related are pretty much slim to none.
thx for the help now I can relaxNope, they will be fine. Inbreeding of various sorts are used to enhance the traits. Inbreeding is a double-edged sword in that it can enhance bad traits as well, but until you know that is happening, I wouldn't worry to much. If you breed for several generations and worry about the effects, get some unrelated stock (buy or trade) to add into your breeding program. Roosters are often very cheap because we get too many, and one decent, unrelated roo can breed 10 of your hens and re-vitalize the gene pool.
