So I finally found small little round worms in my little girl! On the road to recovery!!! Man they where hard to find, wouldn't have noticed until I started seeing the poo move :S

So far, the only chickens of ours to show signs of worms are our D'Uccles. We lost one and just fought round two with the other (6 months later).... We also have smaller OEGB and Bigger Sebrights and Red Sex Linked. None of which show signs....

But I have a question for all....

Have you found that one of your breeds shows signs of worms more than another?!

I don't think that parasites are breed specific. Just MHO
Perhaps the ones that had worms spread them amongst themselves because they tend to stay with others of the same breed? Birds or a feather flock together and all that?

Silly me, got in a rush to post and didn't really read what I wrote I guess....

I didn't mean that one breed is more likely to get worms than another thats just silly!!!...

What I meant was maybe one breed is more sensitive to the worms and is effected by them more?! I am sure ALL of the chickens have worms but she and her sister (RIP passed months ago) are THEE only ones to show signs... and they all hang out together...

We haven't had more than one d'uccle for over 6 months.... She has been hanging with the OEGBs, Sebrights, and the bigger chickens...

Its just totally weird, we have smaller chickens than her so it is not her size, but its like the D'Uccles don't handle the worms...

Thought maybe someone else had the same issue
