Preferences
So I have been looking into getting a few (3-5) chickens for my backyard in town. I am racking my brain here looking at the different types and their characteristics. Then I start looking at chicks from Meyer and questioning whether or not I should be looking to buy chicks from a smaller breeding operation. I like the Welsummers, Speckled Sussex and EE's. I would really like them to be friendly and quiet since I live in town and have smaller children. Anyone have suggestions or input on these topics?
