Ok we got 6 chicks from the pulley bin from TSC last Wednesday (3rd April 2013). That was delivery day so I'm guessing these girls are about a week old today.
I'm hoping I can get some ID suggestions from here as a starting point. I'm doing this from my phone so I hope these pics come through ok.
Chick #1. She hates me. Lol. Everytime I reach into the box she rushes my hand, jumps on it and pecks me. I grab her and remind her I'm bigger.
Chick #2 pretty little brown round girl. She's already getting beautiful speckles feathers and the spots on her face make her look grumpy. Lol but she's not. She's sweet, sleeps in my hand.
Chick #3 black down, black feathers, mostly black feet, black beak, black comb. A yellow dot on either side of her beak, tiny white spot on tips of wing down, and a bit on neck. She's a bit plump, round bodied.
(edited to add that with the flash and seeing the pic on "the big screen" her comb doesn't look as black. *shrug*)
I have three more black ones but they don't seem to have any real distinguishing marks. I was hoping for either Australorps or Black Star but I haven't looked them up yet.
Sooooo, any guesses?
