Breeds that you LOVE!

What's your favorite breed(s)? I love the chickens with wierd colored eggs such as Marans and Easter Eggers.

I love black shamos (only hens, no roosters...creepy looking!) and I love speckled sussex and appenzeller spizhaubens.

My all time favorite will always be RIR's. They are just nice birds, although some of the roos can be mean. There is a solution for that, though.

Sadly, I think last night I killed a bunch of RIR eggs in the incubator

It was a little low, I turned it up, and this morning it was 107. I will check them tonight, but they are probably dead. I was really tired. I normally would never turn up the LG and then leave it.

So far....Buff Orpington, Light Brahma, Easter Egger, and Welsummer. Ok, so that's all of the breeds I have right now, but it's very hard to pick a favourite.

And no....I NEVER thought I'd be saying I have favourite chickens....

I'm pretty new to the chicken thing. I have RIR, BR, EE and Welsumers. Right now, one of the EEs has endeared herself to me pretty well. Also, I have one Wellie that I believe is going to be a roo that is pretty calm little guy who doesn't seem to mind my intrusion too much. We do have one RR hen that's really starting to assert herself. Her boisterousness is kind of fun actually.
