Breeds to mix with speckled sussex?

Hello! I have six 15 week old speckled sussex pullets and we just recently set up a new coop. Since we have more space, I'd like to add a few more to the flock. I know that SS tend to be low on the pecking order. Are there any breeds that do really well with them? I am regretting not starting out with a mixed flock to begin with. I was just looking for kid friendly hens. I've seen local ads for wyandottes, marans, cochins, and orphingtons. Also, would it be best to get older pullets and quarantine them before introducing them, or young chicks in the brooder for a few weeks? Thanks!

Orpingtons are mellow, Ameruacana, Danish Brown Leghorns, Barred Rocks.
These are the ones I have had great luck with raising together along with Speckled Sussex.

I decided on orpingtons. I'm supposed to pick up two three week old English Blue pullets today. I'll keep them inside at first. We just built a new coop and haven't switched the sussex over yet. I think I'll do that and let the new girls have the small tractor they're in now when they're ready to go out. I guess I'll have to wait and see how they take to the new coop since the old one has been their territory for so long. Lickily I've never seen my girls peck at or bully each other up to this point. I hope that's a sign that introducing the new ones won't be so hard.
