Hello! I had ordered 2 assorted rare breed chicks from My Pet Chicken. They arrived today. Any guesses as to what breeds they are? I was thinking Faverolles and Appenzeller Spitzhauben. Thanks!

Very cute! I think you'll need to wait awhile before folks on here will be able to give you good answers; many breeds look very similar as little fluffs. You could also try contacting My Pet Chicken to see if they have a list of potential breeds that could have been included. Enjoy them!

They did have a list and the breeds I listed is what I think they look like. Just seeing if anyone else wanted to take a shot at it!

Looks like an Easter Egger and maybe a Favorelle "how many toes". My Pet Chicken is famous for passing off their "designer hybrids" as rare breeds though.

4 ☹️ So not a Faverolles. Well I don’t think I would consider an Easter Egger a rare breed haha. That’s too bad.

Sorry to jump on this thread but could you possibly tell me what kind of chicken I have? I thought it was a buff Orpington but now I don’t think so

Just an update. I believe we ended up with an Easter Egger and a White Cochin.

Make your own thread.:)
The hens look like Orps, and the first roo is a BR.

Sorry I missed your post. Hens are likely Buff Orpington if clean, white legged. Rooster looks like a Black Sexlink.
